A2 Cobham & Brewers Road Overbridge Notice from HIGHWAYS ENGLAND
What’s happening?
I am writing to advise that A-one+, on behalf of Highways England will be carrying out works on the London bound A2 carriageway between junction 1 of the M2 and the Park Pale overbridge. These works will then move further along the London bound A2 and be carried out under lane closures between the Park Pale overbridge and Marling Cross.
Traffic Management
In order to carry out these works as efficiently and as safely as possible, work will be carried out overnight under a full closure of the London bound A2 carriageway between junction 1 of the M2 and the Park Pale overbridge, lane closures between Park Pale overbridge and Marling cross and slip road closures to and from the Brewers Road roundabout.

28th August to 30 August 1019
2nd September to 4th September 2019

M2 Junction 1 / A289 entry slip, and A2 London bound entry and exit slip roads to /from Cobham. Closed overnight
11 September to 13 September 2019
During these works, there will be various closures of the slip roads between Brewers Road overbridge and Marling Cross Interchange.
Diversions- clearly signed diversions will be in place during all closures utilising local routes, suitable for all types of vehicles when full closures of the carriageway are in place.
M2 London Bound: Traffic looking to join the London bound A2 from junction 1 of the M2 will be diverted onto the off-slip road at junction 1 of the M2 to join the north bound A289. Traffic will follow the A289 and take the next exit onto the Gravesend road roundabout, then head east onto a second roundabout and follow the A289 southbound to re-join the London bound A2 beyond the closure point.
Traffic looking to join the London bound A2 from Cobham roundabout will be diverted onto the Brewers Road overbridge, then take the on-slip road to join the coastbound A2 carriageway. Traffic will stay on the coast bound A2 carriageway and take the next exit, keeping right and heading towards Rochester/Strood. At Watling Street roundabout, traffic will be turned around to re-join the London bound A2.
Traffic looking to leave the London bound A2 towards Cobham will continue past the closed off slip road to Cobham roundabout and instead take the next exit onto the Marling Cross roundabout. Traffic will cross the Marling Cross overbridge and follow the next roundabout to join the coast bound A2. Traffic can then depart the coast bound A2 at the next exit slip road onto Brewers Road, turning left onto Brewers Road overbridge towards Cobham.
