The Street, Cobham will be closed between Cobham Primary School and Battle Street.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while highway improvement works are undertaken by Kent County Council. Kent County Council are planning to narrow the existing carriageway between 55 and 41 The Street , with bollards being installed on the newly widened footways to prevent overrunning by vehicles. The kerb will also be relocated by approximately 15cm between 41 and 25The Street, enabling the installation of bollards on the footways without narrowing the existing footway.
The alternative route is The Street, Halfpence Lane, Thong Lane, A226 Rochester Road, B261 Old Road East, Valley Drive, Hever Court Road, Henhurst Road, Jeskyns Road and vice versa.
