An update from our local PCSO

Monthly update
My name is Joanne HARTLEY and I am a Gravesham PCSO, currently covering the rural wards of Shorne, Cobham, Higham, Chalk and Luddesdown.   I spend my time patrolling these locations, in order to deter Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour and will be a visible presence as often as I can.  You will have recently received a document titled “A day in the life of a PCSO” which gives you an insight into my role and what I deal with.
This last month I am pleased to say that current crime statistics suggest that criminal activity is low in your parish at this present time which is reassuring.  Local police officers and PCSO’s will continue to work hard to identify offenders and gather intelligence but I would also like to take this opportunity to encourage the community I serve to take measures to help protect themselves and their property.
I will be attending Parish Council meetings quarterly and providing a monthly e-mail update so I can address any issues as they arise.  I would like to reassure you that any issues raised will be pro-actively dealt with by me. As a rural PCSO I actively deal with fly tipping, off road bikes and vulnerable people being targeted fraudulently.
I will endeavour to attend as many community events as I can.  As we approach the summer months I already have fetes and surgeries booked into my diary.  Please keep an eye on the Kent Police Website and our social Media pages such as Twitter and Facebook, for any upcoming crime prevention events in your parish.

Thanks
Jo

Hi jo
My name is Paul Watson you gave me a call last year regarding the of road bikes in cozenden woods which is adjacent to our property oncopthall rd da 139au
Since the start of February the situation has worsened with the woods acting like a magnet for those people as they have been using church fed as a drag strip particularly at weekends when whole families appeare
Whilst lambing over the past three weeks or so there have been several occasions when they have been riding iinto the small hours
Aside from the environmental damage and the burnt out stolen bikes there is also evidence of drug taking and alcohol consumption in the woods
Please feel free to call me on 07764837015 or email
Mane thanks
Paul watson
