Her Majesty The Queen: 1926 - 2022

Picture
Cobham Parish Council would like to share and express its deep sadness at the news of the Queen.

A wonderful and inspirational person, with strong commitment to her public service across the UK, Commonwealth and the rest of the World for so many years.

Many of our Parish have been touched by her work and have had the pleasure of meeting her. Out of respect to Her Majesty, the Parish Council is now conducting the following actions:
  • A book of condolence will be opened for members of the public to sign, it will be located at the Cobham Church available to sign from Saturday 10 September at 10am.
  • Floral tributes can be left by any of the Green Canopy Trees, planted at the recent Jubilee Celebrations, located around our Parish,  St. Margaret’s Church, Ifield, Cherry Orchard, Sole Street and Lawrence Drive, Cobham
  • We kindly request that all cellophane is removed. Floral tributes will be removed the day after Her Majesty’s funeral.
  • A picture of Her Majesty will be on display next to the book of condolence.

In line with national guidance, the Parish Council will cease to conduct Council meetings until after the funeral of Her Majesty.

On behalf of Myself and the Parish Council we wish to send our deepest sympathies to Her Majesty’s family at this time.

Mike Booth - CPC Chairman
