Jamie Cordrey, The Forestry Commission's Deer Officer for London & South East will be delivering a talk 'Deer populations across the West Kent Downs (Cobham & Crookhorn Woods)and the potential impact on agriculture and woodland management.' There has been a significant expansion in the local deer population around our Parish and beyond.
This presentation will be taking place at 4pm on Tuesday 31st January 2023 at the National Trust Lodge Barn, Lodge Lane Cobham, Kent, DA12 3BS Batts Road will be closed temporarily from 16th January to 18th January between 10.30pm and 4.30am from the junction with Gold Street towards the junction by Batts Junction.
The alternative route is via Batts Road junction of Gold Street to the junction with Henley Street and vice versa. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while works are undertaken by Openreach. The Rural Kent Coffee and Information Point will be restarting from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Thursday 27th October and at the same time on Thursday 24th November at the St Mary's Church Rooms, Sole Street.
It will be necessary to close Gold Street, Cobham from Thursday 20th October for up to 1 day. The whole day will be closed.
The alternative route is via Henley Street, Batts Road junction of Gold Street to junction with Henley Street, Gold Street. This is to enable carriageway repairs to be carried out by Kent County Council. |
